Well as it is for all of us the build up to Christmas is a busy time of year and with three craft fairs I've had my fair share of busyness! I just thought I would drop you a few lines to let you know what I've been up to, and let you know what's coming up! I also thought it was a good time to look back over the year.
Firstly, thank you for your support if you were at the Christmas Book and Card Sale on Saturday 17th! It was great to chat to some of you and get some lovely feedback about my work. Now the Tongham Autumn Fair and Christmas Book and Card Sales have been and gone my main focus is on the 1st December, this Saturday, at Great Bookham. This particular craft fair is especially exciting as it's by far the biggest event of this sort I've been involved with so far! Here's the poster with all the details! Just to clarify the address is: Old Barn Hall, Great Bookham, Leatherhead, Surrey KT23 3PG.
I mentioned in my last post that I did another photo-shoot for the charity Waveney Stardust on their second boat; so a lot of my time the last couple weeks has been taken up with editing the images from that shoot. It's been quite a job this time as I somehow managed to take 313 images that day! I have now finished the job at last and the next thing is choosing the final best cut. I generally start by narrowing it down, depending on the amount of images, to the best 30 to 50 with my aim for a collection being about 8 to 16. Excitingly there's a lot of good images to choose from, but that makes deciding the final edit quite tricky! Hopefully you will get to see more of the results of the shoot very soon!
Looking over this year it has been a very successful and exciting time! The year started with snowy landscapes in Norfolk and my attention then turned to music with my composition for Music of Life. We also redesigned the garden and I thoroughly enjoyed photographing the finished layout. Then of course the big event, as far as photography is concerned, my exhibition and it was every bit as good as I had hoped! Lastly of course my fairly recent long weekend photographing Waveney Stardust boat 2 and being filmed for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch advert when I met Chris Packham!
Phew!! So what a year and here's to the what's left of it and on to next year! I hope to see some of you at Great Bookham on Saturday!
