Frozen Leaves
My frozen leaf photographs I rediscovered from a university project, which I had never used before. It has been really exciting looking back through these images and remembering how I took them. I started by collecting leaves and then freezing them in trays to see what affect it would achieve. The ice seemed to have a mind of it’s own, always different every time. It was this unpredictability that created such intriguing photographs. Strangely this lack of control was quite liberating and allowed me to concentrate on taking the images.
