T J Blumire Photography

Unlike the rest of the images, this collection has already been exhibited both at Brick Lane and UCA Farnham, as part of my end of year degree show. They have all been taken through Perspex, inspired by my wheelchair ‘tray’ images. This piece of work encapsulates several years of experimenting with my tray as a photography tool. These particular images created intriguing abstract images that become more like landscapes than the macro shots they really are. All of the photographs were taken using natural materials like feathers and seed heads. The Perspex then refracts the light creating an almost painterly effect.
